Hard to believe we are well into the fall! It was a great summer in the Northeast. I had some nice work with the Heartbeat and Galvanized Jazz Bands and also made it up to Toronto to adjudicate once again at the Canadian National Exhibition’s Rising Star Competition. It is always inspiring to see the young talent and work with the rest of the team. Thanks to Vicki McKinney for continuing to bring me back.
September and early October were spent at the Arts Conferences. Mark Brett, producer extraordinaire, and I visited Minneapolis, Nashville, and Atlanta with our management team, Rockhouse Productions, to promote our shows, We’ve Only Just Begun: Carpenters Remembered and Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters’ Christmas. We had a very positive response from buyers across the country and internationally and are putting dates together for 2015 and beyond.
October 25th saw us performing two SOLD OUT Carpenters Remembered shows in Cheshire, Connecticut at Nelson Hall at Elim Park. Thanks to Rachele Mariano, Matt Bennett, Nick Powell, and Steve Lawton as well as the whole gang at Elim Park. We had two wonderful audiences in their beautiful theater.
We’re gearing up for our Carpenters’ Christmas shows at Mohegan Sun in Conneticut, Suncoast Casino in Las Vegas, and IP Casino in Biloxi in December. Hope to see you at some of those shows!
January 10th we will be showcasing for buyers at APAP in New York City. The whole band will be making the trip and we’re all looking forward to it!
In the meantime stay warm and have a very Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you to all of you for your continued support and love and for spreading the word about our shows and music.
