So much to be grateful for!
It has been a busy late summer and fall with regular gigs in Connecticut with the happy Heartbeat Jazz Band. In addition I had a ball adjudicating at the Canadian National Exhibition Rising Star Competition at the end of August. Thanks to Coordinator Vicki McKinney and to my fellow judges, in particular my old friend Super-Agent Stephen Greig for all the fun! The talent onstage was awesome and inspiring.
Made it out to Saskatchewan to see family at the end of September – the time always too short! We had wonderful weather and so great to see the province without 4 feet of snow!! October was a fun month of Oktoberfesting with the Harmony Show Band all over the Greater Toronto Area. Thanks to Boris Grmek for all the wonderful shows and to my dear friends for their hospitality.
Great to be home in Connecticut now in November. We are busy preparing for our show Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters’ Christmas which will be at Cher-Ae Heights Casino in Northern California on Dec. 20th, and at Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Oregon on Dec. 21st. We’ve got bookings rolling in for the new year in Massachusetts, Michigan, Louisiana, and Connecticut for We’ve Only Just Begun: Carpenters Remembered. Check out the Gigs/Shows page on this site or go to the show website: www.weveonlyjustbegunshow.com
As I do press interviews and as I meet the audiences after our shows I am delighted at the positive response from everyone! I wonder if Richard and Karen knew how deeply loved they were by their fans and how much music lovers respect them. It is a privilege to perform their songbook and I get to do so with the most wonderful musicians and our fantastic producer, Mark Brett, without whom none of this would be possible.
I am truly blessed and grateful to all of you for your continued love and support. Wishing you much happiness this holiday season and always.
